Corona Virus Preparedness Plan

Corona Virus Preparedness Plan

We look forward to seeing you at your upcoming visit. The health of our patients, providers, and staff is our highest priority. We kindly ask that if you are presenting with a fever, cough, cold, and/or flu-like symptoms to please contact our offices prior to your scheduled appointment to reschedule. We appreciate your cooperation as we work together to keep our communities healthy.

North Florida Oral and Facial Surgery (NFOFS) continues to be vigilant in monitoring the current Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) crisis and how it may affect our patients, team members and families. We are focused on the safety of all involved.

As the situation evolves, we are taking action swiftly, but carefully based on the news from official sources, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and local authorities. Below are a few of the measures currently in place at NFOFS.

Our Clinical Offices

NFOFS is committed to providing a safe environment for our patients and team members. This begins with gathering information from patients regarding recent travel history, as well as current and recent symptoms; such as fever, respiratory concerns and cough. Patients that have traveled to certain foreign countries over the past 14 days are being asked to reschedule their appointments. In the event that a patient has current symptoms, we will reschedule their appointment as well.

Preserving and maintaining sterile clinical facilities remains of paramount importance. We have enhanced both the frequency, as well as the chemical agents utilized in the recurring cleaning of all our locations. In addition, we have re-educated our staff on appropriate disinfection techniques and added supplementary procedures to ensure that we are taking all necessary action to protect our patients and team members.

NFOFS will continue to provide updates about the steps we are taking, and we will continue to post helpful links to resources with additional information for our employees.
