David A. O'Brien, D.M.D.

Dr. David A. O’Brien has been practicing Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in the Jacksonville area since 1992. He is a graduate of Brown University and the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He completed his surgical residency training at the University of Florida Health Science Center Jacksonville in 1992, achieved Board Certification in 1995, and  joined North Florida Oral and Facial Surgery, P.A. in 1996. Dr. O'Brien enjoyed a 20-year career of active duty and reserve military service in the U.S. Navy, retiring in 2002 with the rank of Commander. The recipient of numerous awards for professional achievement and merit, he was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Florida, and served as Chief of Service and Head, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dentistry at Naval Hospital Jacksonville. He has published several articles on various topics such as bone grafting, dental implants, and anesthesia, and has lectured extensively on these and other subjects. Dr. O’Brien is pleased to offer his skill and experience to the people of Orange Park and surrounding communities.
