Our Board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons offer simple-to-complex tooth extractions
The surgical removal of either deciduous (“baby”) or adult teeth is a common procedure in our office. The Dentist often performs simple dental extractions. Typically dental extractions referred to us involve higher levels of difficulty, health and safety concerns, or desirable anesthesia choices that aren’t available at the referring doctors’ offices.
Extractions can be necessary for a variety of reasons. Teeth may be non-restorable, painful, or abscessed. Sometimes extractions are recommended by Pediatric Dentists and Orthodontists to facilitate favorable eruption and alignment of other teeth. Other times extractions are necessary as part of comprehensive dental reconstructions.
When wisdom teeth are included as dental extractions, extractions are by far the most common procedures performed in our office. At your consultation visit your treatment plan will be confirmed. Medical history, level of difficulty, anesthesia choices and tooth replacement options (when applicable) will be discussed.
